Our team was brought on in 2014 to help with the re-launch of this luxury bed and breakfast in Marlborough, New Zealand.

This was actually our first official PoP Digital Media client, and years later we are still proud to showcase the work.

This was a complete branding project & total digital marketing set up to prepare this new business to hit the ground running for the new season in wine-country.

Upon arriving onsite, we met with the owner to understand the background of the property and understand his vision.

Our team then explored the property extensively with the owner, inquiring about artwork, the community, and guest characteristics.

We then identified key brand attributes to convey in the branding as well as the story we wanted to tell.

All of this was key as we developed the digital marketing strategy and content that would play an integral part. 

Time Management

Our team worked furiously to capture the essence of the property and gain insights from the owner, and locals in the community.

In less than 4 weeks, we were able to create the strategy, develop the materials, and launch the new campaign. 

Market Research

We analyzed previous bookings along with insights from the owner, and industry data (including local tourism data).

We used this data to help define the “personas” of ideal guests, and set out to capture similar types of guests & to know which geographic regions to market to.

Content Strategy

Content is key to executing any type of digital marketing strategy. Beyond the property itself, our team visited, interacted, and partnered with local attractions to create a story around the experience of staying in Marlborough.

This also helped to provide us with plenty of content to deploy online via social media and to build a strong website for Google.

Digital Strategy

Our team crafted a digital strategy that leveraged existing booking platforms, and incorporated new branding and a professional website. We also set out on a content strategy which would support the website as well as social media for promotion, word of mouth, and connecting with previous clients via email lists.

Branding

The new logo and branding were highlighted on the website, as well as marketing collateral and social media. Through striking images and compelling storytelling, we were able to help potential guests envision their experience.

Website & Booking Engine

We built a professional and functional website for both desktop and mobile. This site was photography-heavy, as showcasing the magnificent property was key in the branding. We also built features to allow future guests to explore the property, and a blog to help them plan their activities. The integrated booking engine also made it easy from an operations standpoint.

Social Media Management

Leveraging the content we created, we set up appropriate social media channels for the target audience. We continued as the social media managers to run the social media after the launch, continuing to build the following and expand into travel networks.

Operations consulting

Leveraging our backgrounds & education in tourism, we also provided recommendations for the guest experience, which would exemplify the luxury brand values of the B&B.

Partnering with local wine-makers for tastings, tour operators, bakeries, chefs, and artisans who create local soaps and lotions are all touches which make the experience unique and memorable.
